Towers for Users is arguably the most successful PASMA course available, drawing in thousands of delegates each year. This course provides candidates with the knowledge needed to assemble, dismantle, inspect and move mobile access towers of various designs, including AGR and 3T systems.
The Low-Level course focuses on low-level access units, such as folding steps and folding towers, made from prefabricated components. Delegates are taught to observe regulations and standards while inspecting their units for hazards or potential safety issues.
This course and the previous one are available in a combined PASMA course called Combined Low-Level Access and Towers for Users Course.
The Towers on Stairs PASMA training course aims to teach delegates to construct stepped towers, the inherent hazards of using them on stairs, and the practical aspects of making them safe for use. This includes theory and practical sessions spread across a full day of learning.
This course is meant to provide experienced tower users with a better understanding of complex tower builds, including the calculations needed to manage weight counterbalancing and cantilever designs. It also details additional information about how towers are assembled and properly balanced.
This course is slightly different from others since delegates must have passed Towers for Users first to understand how tower design and construction work at a more superficial level.
Towers for Professional Riggers is an even higher-tier towers course that provides delegates with a five-day overview of practical and theory work on unusual tower designs. This is meant to cover stations where standard access towers are insufficient and custom or alternate arrangements are needed.
This can also detail situations where towers have to be built beyond the manufacturer’s instructions for various reasons and how to manage tower stability and height regulations when working with a complex tower design. It includes both theory and practical test and experience sessions.
Towers for Managers provides further information about tower management and planning to delegates who will not be operating them. This allows managers to get the best experience possible for overviewing assembly, disassembly, movement and adjustment of any towers.
Instructor training is an option for any delegate that wants the knowledge they need to instruct others. Successful representatives can become PASMA instructors and offer their training services to other trainees or peers or use the information to inform another tower team on both theory and practical matters.
